Christopher Robert Wilson, a native of Augusta, Georgia, began his dance training at Cutno Dance Center for Dance Education and went on to study at and graduate from John S. Davidson Fine Arts Magnet School. He also trained at the Augusta Ballet School and was a member of Dance Augusta for two years. While there, he performed works by Peter Powlus, Caitlin McCormack, Andrew Kuharsky, Valerie Grieg, Victoria Uris, and Jill Bahr.

He has attended summer workshops at The School at Jacob's Pillow, Alonzo King LINES Ballet, and the University of South Carolina. While there, he was able to work closely with the likes of Kyle Abraham, Emily Molnar, Brian Brooks, Carmen Rozestraten, and Carolyn Bolton, to name a few. While at Jacob's Pillow, he was a recipient of the Professional Advancement Award in Dance.

In 2017, he graduated cum laude from the Ailey/Fordham BFA Program in Dance with departmental honors. While a student in The Ailey School, he had the honor of performing works by Alvin Ailey, Matthew Rushing, Hope Boykin, Stefanie Batten Bland, Pedro Ruiz, Nicholas Villeneuve, Natalie Lamonte, Jacinta Vlach, Claudia Schreier, Andre Tyson, and Sasha Soreff. Mr. Wilson has also performed in The Ailey Spirit Gala at Lincoln Center and in April 2015, was chosen as an apprentice for Ailey II, the second company of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater.

In January 2015, he joined BHdos, the second company of Ballet Hispanico. While there, he had the opportunity to perform works by many renowned choreographers including Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, Eduardo Vilaro, Ramon Oller, Pedro Ruiz, Nicholas Villeneuve, William Whitener, and Alejandro Cervera. In October 2015, he had the honor of performing at the World Monument Fund's Hadrian Gala honoring Queen Sofía of Spain. While with BHdos, he was able to partake in a great deal of community outreach all over the New York Metropolitan Area and was also able to perform alongside the main Ballet Hispanico company at the Apollo and Joyce Theaters.

In July 2016, he joined Ailey II as a full-time company member. he has taught and performed in numerous cities both domestically and internationally and has had the opportunity to perform works by Alvin Ailey, Robert Battle, Darrell Grand Moultrie, Jae Man Joo, Bridget L. Moore, Juel D. Lane, and Marcus Jarrell Willis.

He has performed as a guest artist with The Black Iris Project and is featured in the short film A Mother’s Rite which aired on CUNYTV in January 2019.

In 2018, he joined the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and has performed works by Wayne McGregor, Talley Beatty, Jessica Lang, and Rennie Harris in a number of countries across the world.
